Since our first broadcast in 1985, Discover Classical has evolved into a premier partner in the regional arts community, sharing classical music 24 hours a day without interruption. Now in our 40th year, Discover Classical is excited to elevate our station into a 21st-century media hub. We've been in our current location since the early 1990s, and the wear is showing. There are physical and technical limitations in our facility, every workspace is occupied, and we're unable to fully utilize a beautiful Steinway concert grand piano that was gifted to the station.
Composing Our Next Movement is the launching point of a new season of growth for Discover Classical. Our improved location in downtown Dayton will include a state-of-the-art studio for intimate musical performances that can be broadcast live, or recorded on audio and video. Additionally, there will be an air studio, production studio, editing booth and nine private offices, along with a large conference room. Composing Our Next Movement is a momentous opportunity for the Dayton community and beyond to come together to benefit current and future generations of classical music listeners.
