Spoleto Chamber Music Series

Every spring for more than 30 years, the Spoleto Chamber Music Festival has showcased world-class musicians in the historic theaters, churches and outdoor spaces of Charleston, South Carolina.  This radio series features the renowned St. Lawrence String Quartet, cellist Alisa Weilerstein, clarinetist Todd Palmer, pianist Inon Barnaton, flutist Tara Helen O'Connor, violist Daniel Philips, and violinists Livia Sohn and Benjamin Beilman.  Also participating is composer in residence Osvaldo Golijov, who presents the world premiere of his "Drag Down the Sky."  Host Lisa Simeone brings listeners thoughtful commentary and historical background on the pieces, composers, and artists featured on the series.
