Civic Orchestra Of Chicago
Sundays @ 8PM

Civic Orchestra of Chicago is the pre-professional training orchestra of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It provides promising career-bound musicians a unique access to the resources and musicians of the CSO as well as some of today's most sought-after conductors including Music Director Riccardo Muti. The Civic gives critically acclaimed performances in Orchestra Hall at Symphony Center, and in other parts of the metropolitan area; its members also give chamber concerts, and all these performances are free of charge to the greater Chicago community. Over the years, many Civic members have gone on to distinguished careers in the Chicago Symphony Orchestra as well as all the major orchestras of the United States and throughout the world.
